Run plan

• Dry run mid of January
• 3 weeks of machine setup
• Injection setup one week
• Commission new LLRF and 9 MHz cavity
• Ramp development 2 weeks
• Commission new LLRF and 9 MHz cavity
• 250 GeV ramp development
• Store setup

Machine Preparation Status

• Lattice development
• Injection and store lattice are developed
• Injection beta 7.5m
• Store beta_at_IP68 0.7m, others 7.5m
• Ramp lattice development is in working progress
• A new second order chromaticity correction
  algorithm was developed
• Magnets around snakes were re-aligned.

Instrumentation preparation BPM

• All the broken feed-throughs were replaced
  including the ones for the bpms next to the
  snakes
• A major failure mode was identified and a
  software solution was tested and result is
  promising.

Instrumentation preparation tune feedback

• Tune/decoupling feedback system
• BBQ system had a dry run before the lead
  engineers departure.
• BBQ documentation was done
• Documentations for other key components in
  working progress
• Procedures on how to operate the BBQ
• Procedures on how to set up the coupling feedback
• Controls

Instrumentation preparation CNI polarimeter

• All the parts are ready
• Chambers installation in working progress. Expect
  to be done at the end of Nov
• Targets and detectors will be installed beginning
  of January and vacuum pumping then starts
• Softwares for polarimeter control as well as
  polarization measurement are under development.
  Expect to be ready in the early part of Dec.
• Dec will be testing/debugging the system without
  the actual targets and detectors

RHIC Spin Flipper for Blue

• Will be installed in sector 9 between Q4 and Q3.
• 4 DC dipoles were measured and stands are ordered
• DC dipole power supply was tested and ready
• 2 AC dipole ceramic chambers were received and
  are getting coated
• 2 AC dipole coils expected to be here at the end
  of Nov.
• AC dipole resonant circuit designed and
  capacitors as well as other parts ordered. Expect
  to receive around the end of Dec.
• Installation of DC dipoles and ceramic pipes in
  Dec.
• Installation of AC dipole magnets mid of Jan.
