Who started Sony?

• Sony was begun in Tokyo, Japan in 1946 by Masaru
  Ibuka, an engineer and Akio Morita, a physicist.
  They started with 20 employees and began by
  repairing electrical equipment and attempted to
  build their own products.

• Sony has currently over 100,000 employees
  worldwide.
• In 1988, Sony purchased CBS Records to form Sony

Sony Donations/Contributions

• In 1972, Sony formed the Sony USA Foundation that
  provides corporate funding for both local and
  national initiatives. Sony is dedicated to its
  commitment of meeting the needs of communities
  throughout the US but especially where Sony has a
  significant presence.

Playstation

• Sony Playstation began in 1991. It started as a
  joint venture with Nintendo, but within months of
  their relationship, they parted ways and
  cancelled their venture.

• Sony Playstation is considered the top of the
  line in the gaming industry and continues to make
  more money for Sony then all of their consumer
  products combined.

Why I like Sony

• I like this company because I think they make
  excellent electronic products.
• In our home we own a Playstation, Playstation
  2, Sony Mavica and Sony video digital recorder.
  All are impressive and reliable electronics
  pieces of equipment, and I would recommend them
  to anyone.
