Initiatives Taken
  • Short-term Refresher Courses
  • For Rangers at SFSC Coimbatore Burnihat and
    ERFC Kurseong
  • Average 25 courses 300 trainees per year
  • For Front-line Staff ( RO to Guard) at State
    Training Institutes
  • Average 90 courses 3000 trainees per year
  • New Scheme Capacity Building in Forestry
    Sector has a major component on strengthening
    of Directorate of Forest Education .

Initiatives Taken
  • A proposal in under active consideration for
    strengthening of infrastructure of State
    Training Institutes with the help of an
    externally aided project ( JVIC)- Preliminary
    stage..

Proposed Actions
  • Immediate steps for vacancy filling
  • Staggered filling up of vacancies to avoid mass
    recruitment and mass retirement
  • Ensure at least two promotions for each cadre
  • Direct Entry at fewer levels
