Realignment of Leisure Facilities Booking Systems
and Introduction of Booking Service under the
Electronic Service Delivery Scheme

• Since the establishment of LCSD 2 years ago, we
  have been using the legacy systems of the two
  former Municipal Councils for the booking of
  leisure facilities and
  activities

• Due to difference in policies, the fee structure
  and booking methods of the two systems are
  different

• In order to improve our service to the public,
  the two systems have been integrated and launched
  in March this year

• At the same time, business hours for the
  Interactive Voice Response System have been
  extended

• In addition, we have launched Internet booking
  service via the ESD scheme

• Benefits of Internet booking
• 24-hours one stop shop service
• There is no need for the public to queue up in
  front of LCSD counters

• No need to make payment at our counter within 3
  days of booking
• Availability of venues at a glance on the Internet

• To facilitate registration of patrons, an online
  patron registration system has been launched for
  the public to submit online registrations

• An email magazine has also been introduced to
  promote cultural and leisure events of Hong Kong.
  Our objective is to encourage the public to
  participate in more cultural events and leisure
  activities
