• expanded specification of zone indices(e.g.,
  regarding default assignments, boundary
  consistency, etc.)
• changed node-local to interface-local
• a number of other small changes best to re-read
  the whole document

Open Issues

• at Pittsburgh meeting, we agreed
• zone indices are distinct from interface indices
• one numbering space for all zones interfaces
• (e.g., sin6_scope_id is 4-bit scope 28 bit
  index)
• when an address is qualified by a zone index,
  scope of zone index must scope of address
• issue 1 (3) would be easier to enforce if (2)
  were not true
• e.g., making zone IDs be flat 32-bit integers
  and determining zone scope from addresss scope.

• basic API?
• advanced API?
• issue 3 mobility vs. scoping model needs to be
