connection with a stolen vehicle that was
recovered in the same parking lot following
Saskatoon's third homicide of 2009. A 1988 blue,
four-door Cadillac Broughm was reported as being
stolen from Fairview Court at 31st Street and
Avenue P between 10 p.m. on August 31 and 150
a.m. September 1. Investigators believe the
vehicle is connected to the homicide, and any
information on its whereabouts or people spotted
in the vehicle may be important to the

Hughes Tomdio-Yituiti was arrested Sept. 16 and
has been charged with attempted fraud over 5,000
after allegedly trying to defraud a 52-year-old
woman in an inheritance scam, police said
Wednesday. A later search of the hotel room he
was staying at recovered a bag purported to
contain 12 million US. The bag contained a
mixture of authentic U.S. bank notes and plain

murder capital of Canada last year. According to
an annual report released in October by
Statistics Canada, the city recorded four
homicides in 2008, resulting in a per-capita rate
of 1.55 for every 100,000 residents -- lower than
the overall national rate of 1.83, and less than
