• ATM speed, flexibility, QoS associated with
  traffic classes (CBR, VBR, ..)
• Internet/IP bottlenecks, best effort, standards
  de facto, intense interoperability, contents,
  users acceptance, ...

and, Internet is growing - as traffic volume -
with QoS-aware applications
