Why is Liverpool a city and not a town?

• Liverpool is a city and not a town because it
  has two cathedrals and a large population. Not
  all cities have two cathedrals, infact Liverpool
  is the only city with two cathedrals.

When was Liverpool founded?

Liverpool was founded in 1207 by King John. It
was originally used as a dispatch point for
troops to Ireland

Liverpool Docks?

As you can see from the above photographs, the
docks have changed considerably. The docks have
been refurbished due to the lack of industrial
works ship building.

Present day Liverpool?
As in the early days, Liverpool is still using
the ferries to transport cars passengers across
the Mersey
Liverpool was awarded the City of Culture 2008.
The city has become very modern developed in
both the city dock areas
