• Lots of data/maps at reach
• Basic Glowa metadata is available
• Bandwidth works ok opportunity to update
• Need for dedicated IT Manager / DBA

• Protoype architecture quite mature scalable
• At least 1 staff to provide local assistance
• Nishath Yapa
• Fully dedicated experienced team in HQ to
  extract / clean
• ETL calls for good communication
• Respond to emails quickly / provide info
• Involve Kobus in DB management / Server
• Limpopo CP Basin Coorinator to provide for
  Nishaths travel accomodation

OliPro Nishath Yapa

• Will arrive in September for at least 4 weeks
• Database administrator / Web experience
• Is aware of all prototype components
• Will setup / train / inform on database
• Will link to our team to benefit from ETL

I like to take this is as challenge and strongly
believe that it can be accomplished with positive
results. I would like to take this mission and
put my best effort to make it success.

OliPro to do list for 10 September

• Identify common parameters
• Use Hervés catalog ?
• Send all related files doc to ETL team
• Email / FTP / Sharepoint
• Identify roles who will do what
• Prepare visa / accommodation for Nishath
• Follow up on Davids offer on soils map
• Structure all spatial layers for easy integration

Proposed way forward

• Weekly email to update on progress
• IWMI SA staff provide weekly input on prototype
• Nishath participating our 2 weekly meetings
  through phone conference
• Pierre to arrive early in Nov to finalize OliPro
  run final check list

• Include database server in future budget plans -
  the CP server will leave end of November 12K
  USD
• SAKSS-SA GPG2 DB DEV
• Recruit a database specialist
• Upgrade GIS workstations
• Upgrade bandwidth
