What is AYP?

• A measure of Adequate Yearly Progress for each
  group of students within the framework of NCLB
• AYP determined For all students tested as well
  as for subgroups defined by ethnicity, income,
  and special education. Subgroups must be
  composed of 45 or more students at each building
  in the grades tested to count for AYP (
  Confidence Interval due to group )
• Percentage of students that must make AYP is
  increasing regularly beginning in 2003 and
  reaching 100 during 2014

• ACES is an after school program for grades 3, 4,
  and 5, using GPS Reading
• ACES for K, 1, and 2 students modeled after a
  successful programs in Ann Arbor, MI, an MSAN
  district
