  • Configuration available are multiple server load
    balancing or active and standby.
  • The Content Switchs have redundancy to provide
    high availability.

  • DTS administers and maintains Domain Name
    Services (DNS) for the State of California and
    associated government entities
  • Primary authority for the following domains
  • CA.GOV
  • STATE.CA.US
  • Requests are processed by DTS DNS administrative
    staff, usually within 24 hours during the normal
    business week

    Domain Name Servers (DNS)

  • Delegation of sub-domains
  • DNS requests may be submitted by e-mail to

    http//nicweb.ca.gov/dnsPage.pl

  • Web servers are protected by a firewall from the
    outside.
  • Data Base and applications are protected from Web
    servers and the outside.
  • A separate backend segment can be provided for
    application and/or data base servers if required
    by customer security needs.
