Overcoming the Faculty Barrier

• Disseminate information at department faculty
  meetings, faculty assemblies, senate, etc.
• Provide undemanding course publishing environment
  to the faculty
• OCW publishing process
• Allocate adequate resources and support for OCW
  project personnel
• Offer incentives, if practical
• Recognize OCW participation (thank-you card,
  promotion)

• Set up meeting with faculty, if needed, to
  explain OCW
• Acquire course materials
• Review course content for IP sources
• Provide feedback to faculty on the state of
  readiness of course materials and suggest actions
  (redraw, replace, remove, or get permission)
• Build course site and enter content into
  templates
• Resolve any issues with guest lecturer
  permission and review

  enrollment nor jeopardize opportunities to
  generate future revenue
• Minimum effort is required of participating
  faculty
