- Schools in an area should be encouraged and
enabled to take collective responsibility for
preventing exclusions as far as possible,
including developing effective alternatives to
exclusion, and for making educational provision
for those who are excluded. - (Oaks sharing panel)
3Aims
- Improve educational opportunities for hard to
place pupils - Produce a more equitable distribution of such
pupils across the network area - Seek to provide the most appropriate location for
a pupils education (school, placement at a PRU
or alternative provision
4Support
- Provide integration support for the Oaks students
on managed moves between the schools via the
Sharing Panel. - Track the progress of Sharing Panel placements
and provide a report for each Sharing Panel
meeting. - Liaise with the Admissions and Appeals team on
referrals of Hard to Place students with Oaks
Postcodes (but not from Oaks schools). Work with
admissions workers to ensure referral information
is complete and accurate. - Oversee the Managed Moves (between Oaks schools)
process through the Sharing Panel from the
completion of the referral form through to the
end of the Managed Move period.
