Warping the loom
  • Tape one end of the string to the back of the
    loom.
  • Thread warp by wrapping string around every other
    notch from top to bottom.
  • Tape end of string to the back of the loom.

The vertical strings on the loom are called the
warp strings.

Choose your yarn and wrap it around the notched
wooden stick.

Weaving the weft.
  • Use the shuttle stick and weave the first
    pattern over/under or under/over.
  • Turn the shuttle stick on its side.
  • Put the yarn wrap through the tunnel.
  • Release the shuttle and pull it out.

Use the beater (comb) and push the yarn down
close to the loom.

Continue weaving
  • The second row and there after is done by weaving
    the shuttle the opposite of the previous row,
    sending the yarn through the tunnel, releasing
    the shuttle and pulling it out, and beating the
    row down close to the other rows with the comb.
  • The beginning ends of the yarn or fabric strip
    should be woven in with the next row.
  • Continue this process with yarn and fabric
    strips, if desired, until you reach the other end
    of the weaving loom.

Ending the weaving
  • To end the weaving, pull the first warp loop off
    the loom .
  • Cut it and tie the two strings into a knot.
  • Continue pulling warp one string loop at a time
    cutting and knotting them.
