Title: Employee Time Approval Kronos Manager Resolution
1Employee Time Approval Kronos Manager Resolution
- The Good, The Bad
- and The Ugly
Doug Belliston January 10, 2007
2How is It Going?
- Great, thanks to your efforts!
- Time for approximately 12,500 employees is
approved each pay period - Over 95 of employee time is being approved by
supervisors - Only 5 items went unapproved by Supervisors and
unresolved by Kronos Managers for the first
compliance reporting (items through November)
3So Why the Presentation?
- Kronos Managers need to better document the
actions they are taking - Explanations of their resolution efforts are
often - Too sketchy or-
- Do not appear to be well founded

- We should not have paid Kari for these hours.
They are for - her other job. We are going to have X dept
prepare a journal - entry to fix the mistake.

- different time than Cathleen has in
- Kronos. I would rather not approve it,

- We will put the time Jacob works during the next
- pay-period to the X dept to balance out the
- hours charged to the this department for in error
12- Kronos Manager's Comment
- Mon, Dec 4 06, 124853 PM
- The difference in time was a total of 740 which
has been - subtracted from his last time card so the hours
all match. The - 740 should have been paid by his other job.
- Kronos Manager's Comment
- Mon, Nov 13 06, 113056 AM
- Talked to Dr. X about overage. Contacted and
conferred - with employee regarding the importance of staying
under - 10 hours per week. We came to an understanding
that if - he went over again, the department would
consider.
13- Kronos Managers Need to Assure
- Supervisors approve whenever possible
- Direct supervisors are always the best approvers,
make sure they follow through - They describe clearly HOW they know it is proper
to approve hours that supervisors did not approve - They describe WHAT ACTION was taken to resolve
disapproved hours
