About Christian BookSellers

• The goal of Christian BookSellers is to help
  local ministry all over the country raise funds
  to strengthen the Christian communities they
  serve. In order for churches to accomplish their
  task, the church need funds, thus the purpose of
  our fundraiser program. We offer a variety of
  books at a substantial savings that churches can
  sell to their congregation and church members can
  sell to their coworkers and families.

Roles Responsibilities of the Christian
BookSellers Sales Associate

• Guide churches in their Christian BookSellers
  fundraising efforts by helping them to develop
  strong sales strategies and marketing techniques
  to help them get the most from their fundraising
  efforts
• Christian BookSellers will provide church leads
  to Associates. You may also obtain your own
  leads, but you must obtain approval (in writing)
  from Christian BookSellers Local Area General
  Manager prior to initiating a fundraiser with a
  church in which you have found on your own.
• Identify 1 contact person within the church to
  oversee the fundraiser and provide continuous
  support to this person
• Monitor the fundraiser by phone and offer
  suggestions to the responsible party on how to
  get the congregation to make the campaign a
  success
• The actual selling of books will be done by the
  congregation
• Absolutely NO money will be collected by Sales
  Associates

Sales Tips Strategies

• Explain the importance of reading to the church
• Put fundraising announcement in church bulletin
• Enlist key people within the church to form a
  committee and to organize the distribution of our
  sales aids and posters
• Encourage church members to sell to family and
  friends.
• Start book clubs using books
• Try to have a fundraiser going at 2-3 churches at
  once.

• The best way to conduct any fund raiser is to
  reduce the task down to each individual. Then
  the task is more manageable. Say the goal is for
  the organization to make 17,000.00. Then the
  organization wants to sell from 260 sets of
  books. If there are 30 individuals involved in
  the organization then each individual needs to
  sell approximately 9 sets of books (264.60 X 9
  2,381.40). Now the task seems small when
  expressed in individual responsibility. Thirty
  (30) people selling 9 sets of books a piece
  equals (264.60per set X 9 sets X 30 people
  71,442). The commission on 71,442 is
  71,442 X .25 17,860.

• Non-profit fundraising is all about multiple
  streams of income. When you put together your
  annual plan, you need to include as many ways to
  raise money as possible. Now that you have been
  introduced to the Christian Booksellers
  Fundraiser you should ask yourself how much money
  do we want to raise?
• Our fundraiser is a well thought-out fundraising
  strategy that doesn't make too many demands on
  any one facet of your organization. Every
  fundraiser that you conduct places various
  demands on your volunteers, your supporters, and
  your leadership. Those demands can be time
  consuming, expensive, and stressful, and your
  organization ends up getting back very little or
  nothing at all for your fundraising efforts
  thinking smart means taking the time to review
  past results and strategizing about how to do
  better this year.

  creative ideas to increase your bottom line, how
