3Interoperability with Banner Accounts Payables
(FIS)
- PSU is finalizing procedures for uploading
invoice information from ILLiad to Banner in
order to pay invoiced lender charges. Whats
needed by Banner isnt a whole lot - Vender ID (at PSU 890)
- Seq. (multiple address per Vender)
- Invoice (from Vender)
- Index Code (ILLs FOAPL is fixed, so scripted in)
- Description (50 characters) to include ILL / TN
- Amount / Price
- Critical to the projects success is ensuring
control over the process, especially important
are controls of accidentally paying false or
duplicate billing.
4Interoperability with BannerAccounts
Receivables (SIS)
PSU is also creating an automated process to bill
our students overdue fines and to bill other
libraries lender charges through Banner. We are
using the same conduit used by Innovatives
Bursar In/Out. After the billing manager is
released, we will script an export of ILLiad data
for uploading into Banner. This does mean using
some user and library fields in different ways so
we can pull required data, such as Vendor ID,
etc.
- Data to bill Students Overdues
- Student Number
- Detail Code (Fixed for ILL Fines)
- Description (TN / Title)
- Fine Amount
- Data to bill Libraries Lending Charges
- Vendor ID Seq.
- Detail Code (Fixed for ILL Lender Charges)
- Description (TN / ILL / Patron)
- Lender Charge (Fixed at 10 per item)
