  • 1. Students will be able to describe how
    differences in skeletal features can be used to
    predict evolutionary relationships.
  • 2. Students will be able to compare and
    contrast the characteristics of anthropoid
    primates and prosimian primates by creating lists
    of characteristics that will later be used to
    write a five paragraph essay.

  • 1. Examine human history by describing the
    progression from early hominids to modern humans.
  • 2. Apply the concept of natural selection as a
    central concept in illustrating evolution theory.

  • 2. Digital Projector for demonstrating Cornell
    Notes and slide show.
  • 3. Fabricated skull and other available bones or
    fossils.
  • 4. K-W-L and Compare and Contrast worksheet.

  • Anticipatory set
  • Slide show of 3-D MIMICS images.
  • Students will be given a brief description of
    tissue engineering and the power of CAD programs
    in designing biological materials
  • Students will suggest the species of each animal
    shown, and whether it was bipedal or not.
