• Focus on Group Vision and Strategy

• Develop understanding of cross functional cutting
  issues
• Develop concrete group views and action plans

• Huge time investment
• Significant cost investment
• But
• Creates a unique opportunity for European
  collaboration and focus into key areas of
  lifestyle and other health determinants

Recommendation for Meeting Pre-Preparation

• Collaborate together to agree on issues for
  inclusion
• Collaborate with the meeting organisers to raise
  agenda points, these should be focussed into the
  group vision and organisational opportunity
• Meeting organisers should issue draft agenda with
  timescale for comment
• Final agenda agreed and issued to all meeting
  participants four weeks prior to the meeting

Meeting Operating Principles

• Respect and stick to the agenda
• Work together with Trust and Respect
• Actively listen and allow the speaker to get
  his/her point across
• Respect the meeting leader to open, arbitrate and
  close discussions
• When important issues are discovered which are
  not on the agenda, allow these to be parked for
  later attention either in
• Any other business at the end of the agenda
• In a future separate or group meeting
