Zoysia
  • Texture- Companion Zoysias will have a leaf width
and turf texture more similar to that of Meyer
vegetative Zoysias, a medium to medium-fine
textured turf grass variety depending on how
    thick it is seeded.

Zoysia
  • Climate- Zoysias is a warm season grass that can
be grown further north than many of the other
warm season grasses. It makes one of the most
beautiful, carpeted lawns when fully established.
  • Soil Conditions-Zoysias can be found growing in
many soils from acidic to alkaline.

Zoysia

color and improved density as longer lasting
green in the fall and earlier green in the spring.

    34.95, 5 lb is 79.95, and 25lb is 349.50
  • Ways it can be bought- Zoysias can be bought in
    Seeds.

6
Zoysia
  • What ways it can be used for- Zoysias can be used
in many different ways and places. Examples are

fields, schools, parks and home lawns.

Zoysia
  • Two important requirements for seeding Zoysias.
    (1) Plant at higher seed rates for best results
and (2) Water daily or even multiple times daily
for the first 30 days of establishment. Then
water every other day for the next 4-6 weeks. If
you cant water then it is not recommend to plant
    Zoysias.

Zoysia
  • Advantages- Once fully establish this variety can
perform well in high traffic areas. Best results
are achieved by planting in early spring when
soil temps reach 65 degrees or higher.
  • Disadvantages- Zoysias are a slow grower when
plugged or sprigged and will take about two years
to achieve a fully covered and established lawn.
