  coal of the Grootgeluk colliery. This is
  a metalllurgical carbon reductant
  produced through the SINTEL technology.

• Future Actions Undertake full feasibility
  study
• Co-operate with TIL for
  application of incentives

• Project description Mining of Coalbed Methane
  Gas from the coal deposits of the
  Waterberg coalfield
• Current Activities Pre-feasibility study
  underway
• Future Actions Appraise the business case
• Co-operate with TIL in terms of
  water usages for other projects

• Project Location Lephalale municipality
• Project description Manufacturing of jewellery
  related product using coloured
  glass (bottles), beads and semi-
  precious stones.
• Current Activity Pre-feasibility study
  completed
• by MINTEK. Kgabane concept being
  used
• Future Actions Develop the project further in
  collaboration with TIL

• Project Location Limpopo province
• Project description Facilitation and
  encouragement of the Preferential
  Procurement System in the mining industry.
• Previous work A Limpopo Forum established
  with the local/provincial mining
  houses.
• MOUs signed.
• Future Actions Mining Expo being organised
  by TIL to encourage synergy and
  compliance with the policy on preferential
  procurement.
• Major suppliers to locate in
  Limpopo

Railway Network Project

• Route Lephalale Polokwane
  - Burgersfort
• Objective To link Lephalale with Polokwane
  and ultimately with Maputo Harbour
• Progress made Province adopted and
  approved a budget for such infrastructure
  plans.
• Future work TIL facilitating talks between
  Spoornet, DBSA, the mines, govt, etc
