Introduction

• We have just finished the story of Macbeth, the
  nobleman whose greed for the crown led him to
  murder the king.
• Even though we have finished reading the play
  there is much more to learn about.

Topic Questions

• Did you know Shakespeare based his play on an
  actual Scottish king?
• What is behind all of the supernatural events and
  is Macbeth a cursed production?
• Was Lady Macbeth like her historical counterpart
  and what was her relationship with Macbeth?
• How was food, blood, and children used in this
  play?
• What biblical imagery was used within the play?

Task

• Each team will teach the class about their
  findings.
• Teams may use artwork, live dramatization,
  PowerPoint, video, etc. to present the material
  you have found.
• You must provide presentation notes to the class
  explaining their findings.
• Teams must also turn in a works cited page to the
  teacher.

Process

• The class will divide into five teams
• Each team will receive a topic question (the
  questions on slide 3)
• Your team must find information using the
  internet that answers the topic question
• Your group must come up with an effective and
  creative way to present the findings

Evaluation

• To evaluate the knowledge students learned from
  this WebQuest I will check their presentation
  notes and works cited but the bulk of my
  evaluation will focus on how they present what
  they have learned to the class. I believe I
  would give the group as a whole one grade, unless
  one individual has participated below or above
  average within the group.

Conclusion

• Through this project students will learn to find
  reliable information on the web, present
  information in an interesting and clear way, and
  understand Macbeth on a deeper level.
• The class will conclude in a group discussion
  about each groups presentation and information
  they found to be interesting.
