• Born in Honolulu in 1838
• Enrolled in Royal school in 1842
• Liliuokalani younger sister died of measles and
  epidemic in 1848
• She came to live at home in 1851

• Got married to John Owen Dominis in 1862
• Her brother becomes king in 1874
• Her brother died and she heir the throne in 1877

  Mills Seminary College. Dreams of starting a
  college for women in Hawaii in 1878
• Liliuokalani and Kalakauas wife represent Hawaii
  in London in 1887
• King Kalakaua died in 1891 and Liliuokalani
  assumes throne

• Queen Liliuokalani attempts to implement a new
  constitution that would restore power to the
  throne and restore the voting rights of the
  Hawaiian people. Queen Liliuokalani is overthrown
  by local businessmen in 1893.
