  • Total of 10 responses received
  • Final stakeholder meeting held on 4th Nov

  • Challenge 1 Supporting Hackneys People
  • Statutory sector to co-ordinate a joined-up
    campaign with business and the Third sector
  • Importance of soft skills to employers
  • Importance of high level skills
  • Differentiated approach in addressing the
    training needs of different groups
  • Showcasing real life stories
  • Undertake research to understand reasons for
    worklessness
  • Provide a list of training provision in the
    borough to agencies
  • Co-ordinate IAG services to provide a coherent
    local system

    Strategy take up of apprentices, Train to Gain
    etc

Next Steps - Implementation
  • Take Strategy to Team Hackney Board and the
    Council
  • Take Strategy to thematic partnership boards and
    get commitment of members to relevant actions
  • Produce an implementation plan ensuring each
    action is owned by relevant partner and built
    into its action plan
