the requirement for data sharing between partners
  • Taken to CSP Board who agreed to
  • Continue funding NDO for a further year (2006/07)
  • Undertake development of NDO to make it fit for
purpose to monitor and report on Norfolks LAA
    indicators
  • Look into longer term funding requirements for
    NDO

So what have we got?
  • In general more user friendly, quicker to
refresh, more versatile interactive mapping now
only a part of the site reporting and profiling
    more important
  • Hope to include Waveney as part of local area
  • Focus on LAA leverage for more local data
    sets!!
  • Better integrated links with other local data
sharing websites and to reports / research etc

45
What is happening now
  • A pilot site has been built by Geowise
    incorporating all these features
  • All data currently in NDO is being transferred
    into the pilot site
  • An LAA monitoring Data View is being piloted
links to reports from PRISM will be introduced
  • Partners / stakeholders will be consulted as to
the suitability of the site and their
    requirements
  • A partnership Implementation Team will be set up
to take forward and launch the development
  • Future funding for the continuing support and
maintenance of NDO will be determined

46
To conclude
  • We already have a mission statement for NDO
  • The objective of Norfolk Data Observatory is to
become and remain the primary source of core data
which informs and supports the evaluation of
    Norfolks Community Strategies
  • We hope to be able to add
  • ..and to help monitor and inform the Local Area
    Agreement indicators across Norfolk
