Our Planet is in danger At Smith McLaurin, we
take our environmental responsibility very
seriously. With the well documented depletion of
the worlds natural resources and land fill
space becoming sparse and expensive, it is
important that we take action NOW.

Some Examples of Recent Initiatives Undertaken by
Smith McLaurin

• We now recycle 1000 Tonnes per annum of Self
  Adhesive Waste away from landfill
• 500 Tonnes of Aqueous Chemicals Waste, up until
  recently sent to landfill, is now used in a
  unique Silver Reclamation process
• Maintain strict effluent discharge guidelines
  with Scottish Water and Scottish Environmental
  Protection Agency (SEPA)
• Ceased all manufacturing requiring Solvent
  Processing in 1999

• Submit EP7000 for EN13432 testing subject to
  final developments/market interest??
• Research programme to develop a range of water
  based pressure sensitive adhesives based on
  renewable polymers.
