The Male Reproductive System
  • The outside organs are the penis and scrotum.
  • The scrotum is a sack of skin that holds the two
    testes and the two epididymises.
  • The reproductive organs inside a mans body are
the vas deferens, the prostate gland, the seminal
vesicles, the Cowpers glands, and the urethra.

The Male Reproductive System
4
What Does The Male Reproductive System Do?
  • Produce and release sex cells (sperm).
  • Produce hormones which help a boy develop in to a
    mature man.

5
Male Reproductive System
  • Each sperm cell takes about 70 days to mature.
Then, the sperm are carried into the vas
deferens. The vas deferens are long tubes that
    lead to the urethra.

6
Problems with the male reproductive system
  • Some problems with the male reproductive system
may produce a bump, a sore, or pain or discomfort
in the testes or scrotum. Any bumps, pain, or
uncomfortable rashes or sores require immediate
    medical attention.

7
Caring For The Male Body
  • Bathe every day.
  • Wear clothes that are not too tight.
  • Watch out for anything that seems different about
    your body.
  • Avoid sexual activity.
  • If you are ever concerned about your health, talk
    to you parent or doctor.

8
Female Reproductive System
  • A fallopian tube runs between each ovary and the
    uterus.
  • The egg is drawn into the fallopian tube by
sweeping movements of the ends of the fallopian
    tubes.
  • The egg then travels through the tube to the
uterus. The uterus meets the vagina at the
    cervix.
  • A womans breasts are also a part of her
    reproductive system.

starts, and stops as soon as menstruation begins.

11
Menstruation
  • During the menstrual period, blood and tissue
leave the womans body through the vagina. This
bleeding generally lasts 3 to 5 days. The
menstrual period is one part of a cycle that
    lasts about 28 days.
