How to Change your Password

• Instructions for Changing your Password
• Login to a computer as normal and wait for the
  full desktop environment to finish loading.
• Start the web browser and enter the URL for the
  IT Account Manager www.manchester.ac.uk/itservic
  es/itaccountmanager.
• Login to the IT Account Manager and choose
  Passwords from the menu.
• Enter your current password, followed by your new
  password, into the relevant boxes of the change
  password form.Note Your password must conform
  to the requirements shown below and will be
  CASE-SENSITIVE. Always check to see if Caps
  Lock is active on the keyboard before entering
  passwords.
• Finally, confirm your new password and click the
  Update Password button to proceed with the
  change. A message will inform you that your
  password has been successfully changed for all
  resources. Click Logout to finish.
• Close the web browser and return to the
  desktop.If instead you receive an error message
  such as The current password you entered is
  incorrect! then your password will NOT have been
  changed.
• Try repeating the password changing procedure
  again. If you receive another error message,
  contact an IT Service Desk for assistance.
• Password Requirements
• Passwords must be between 8 and 14 characters
  long (inclusive) and include at least TWO
  numerals (numbers).
