    villages. It is very difficult for project staff
    to reach to all the villages.

    cutting budget for Land and water related works.

INNOVATIONS / TESTING / ADOPTION / MULTIPLICATION
OF NEW PRODUCTS
  • 7 variety of rice (Rajendra, Iramlellu, MTU 1010,
    Vita 12, Purnima, RNR and Abhaya) under FFS has
    been tested and found successful for programme
    area.
  • ICGS 76 variety of Ground nut is tested and has
    given high yield, farmers are now multiplying it
    and sharing its seed to other farmers.
  • Production of organic vegetable cultivation and
    rice cultivation is in process.
  • ICPL 87119, 88039, and 88063 variety of Pigeon
    pea has been tested and adopted by farmers. They
    are cultivating these varieties in mass scale.

IMPACT ON CHANGE IN COMMUNITY BEHAVIOUR OR GOVT.
  • After success of FFS farmers are adopting line
    sowing method (SRI) for paddy cultivation.
  • Now farmers are growing wheat pulses as second
    crop after paddy.
  • Vegetable cultivation with the help of Dhodi
    Well has become a successful model which is being
    replicated in scaling up villages.
  • Male Female villagers are now saving money
    after understanding and seeing the impact of SHG
    and CIG.
  • With the savings villagers are doing small
    businesses.
  • Alcoholism is reduced.
  • Reduction in migration of labours.
  • Villagers are now sending their children to
    schools.
  • State Govt. is providing funds from NREGA to
    CTDP.
  • State Govt. has agreed to provide fund to CTDP to
    replicate (IFAD model) in PTG villages.
  • Men women PEC members are now representing in
    panchayats as Sarpanch, Panch and in Block
    Development Committee.
  • Chhattisgarh Government is expanding this
    programme in Kanker district of by BRGF Funds. (
    replicating IFAD model, CTDP is the implementing
    agency)
