  • The Project Purpose
  • The establishment of a Twinning program with
    education linkages between Algerian and American
    schools
  • Train teachers and students in both countries in
    how to use the technology, particularly as it
    relates to presentation software, digital
    photography, and the Internet

  • Supporting EFL program in Algeria and English and
    Social Studies programs in the U.S.
  • Better understanding cultures and communities
  • Better understanding the role of ICT (computers
    and the Internet) in education and the classroom
  • Developing new ICT skills for both teachers and
    students
  • Developing new teaching and instructional
    strategies

Whats Next?
  • Sustaining this program
  • Continuing to work with current schools
  • Integrating additional tools such as video
    conferencing
  • The next step in this program is to develop a
    plan for sustaining this project
  • The Ministry has appointed two people as program
    monitors who will work to continue this important
    initiative in the future
  • This program can serve as a model for integrating
    technology and establishing global connections
