  • Obtained and reviewed clarifications to proposals
    received.
  • Have begun negotiation of contract terms and
    conditions with one vendor.
  • Negotiate extension of proposal validity with one
    vendor due to funding availability timeline.

RRF-FRA Cooperative Agreement
  • Messaging Standards
  • ARINC continues to facilitate telecons for the
    ERAD working group of the Railway Electronics
    Standards Committee. Efforts are focused on
    interoperability lab set up, test of an ERAD
    application over a foreign network, and planning
    for connectivity to the UNL test bed site through
    BNSF's interoperability lab.
  • Produced a draft a White Paper on Interoperable
    Messaging
  • Industry CBTC Test Bed at TTC
  • Continued development of design documentation for
    train simulator, dispatch simulator, and test
    environment controller
  • Employee in Charge Portable Remote Terminal (EIC
    PRT)
  • Held October 19 design demonstration at the AAR
    Offices
  • Attended by FRA, AAR, and member railroads
  • All work stopped for 9 weeks pending FRA approval
    of administrative change in budget allocations

  • TTCI continues to develop test requirements, test
    plans and test procedures to complete the CAI
    specification
  • Discussion and Decision Needed
  • Should TTCI proceed, at this time, with the
    development of a facility to test compliance of
    radios to the CAI specification?
  • Higher Performance Data Radio
  • Held QA meeting with prospective RFI respondents
    and granted a two week extension of the RFI
    response period.
  • RFI responses received from 5 suppliers.
