Purpose of ERIS

• Central repository of installation environmental
  restoration chemical, geological, and spatial
  data at the Army level
• Storage and retrieval of environmental data from
  all installations using Environmental
  Restoration, Army or Base Realignment and Closure
  funds to collect environmental data
• Use by AEC Remedial Managers and installation
  personnel for data analysis

Status of ERIS

• Version 1.0 fielded in November 2001
• Additional Features added as a result of user
  feedback
• Modified Reports
• Administrative Utility
• Ad hoc Reporting Analysis Tool
• Comprehensive Help Section and Data Dictionary
• GIS capability operational as of this week

Status On the Use of ERIS

• System currently contains over 32 million
  records, majority from the old Installation
  Restoration Data Management Information System
  (IRDMIS)
• Over 180,000 records entered since ERIS
  deployment in November 2002
• Currently, 112 user accounts, 29 AEC users
• Only 10 active users for 17 installations

• Implementation Guidance to be published in 2d
  Quarter FY03
• Draft Training Plan has been distributed to ERIS
  User community for comment
• ERIS overview and demonstration for Installation
  Remedial Project Managers during AEDB Restoration
  Module Training
