at the Department of Homeland Security risk their
lives defending our nation, yet they are not
afforded Law Enforcement Officer status for the
purposes of retirement.

with the same benefits as all other federal law
enforcement officers.

Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
Each year, NTEU honorsCustoms and Border
Protection Officers who died in the line of duty
at a candlelight vigil.

Still, they are not treated as law enforcement
officers.
