2Is This How You Feel When Working With Technology?
33 Major Challenges Faced By Faculty
- How Do I?
- Integrate technology into the teaching and
learning environment - Promote ways that learning can continue outside
the classroom - Find an easy to use technology
4- Integrates technology into the teaching and
learning environment - Traditional pedagogy
- Face-to-face learning environment
- Instructor-focused yet increased student
involvement - Can be used in an online environment
5- Promote ways that learning can continue outside
the classroom - Students revisit lecture snipits seeing and
hearing what was taught - Students can visit presentation prior to class so
the instructor can start the lecture with a
thought provoking questions - Students can ask the instructor questions
directly on the recorded lecture - Students can record their own lectures to share
with other learners
6- Find an easy to use technology
- Ease of use for instructor
- Ease of use for student
- Accessed anywhere anytime
- Cross platform

8- Other Benefits
- Continue learning even if class gets cancelled
- Student out ill and misses a class
- Reinforce lecture when the class is over
- Promote online discussion and collaboration
- Usage monitoring
- QA searching

18Student Comments
Lecture123 eliminates the need of constant
writing and note taking in the classroom I
have ADHD, so I miss part of some lectures when I
am unable to concentrate for part of the lecture.
It is a very big relief for the first time in my
life to know that the material I missed is
available at my fingertips for review, to fill in
the gaps from class. I cried when I used this.
Thank you!
19Student Comments Continued
- "As a returning student I cannot tell you how
helpful the recording software has been. I have
used the tool to review lessons, assist me in
homework questions, and in preparing for exams.
Additionally, I found the tool to be a great
compliment to Blackboard's functionality. For a
student like myself who holds a demanding
full-time job, this new technology _at_ MSU has
allowed me to keep up with the pace of the class.
