Topography Maps What to Look For

• Maximum flow depth high depths depressions
• Floodplain bank elements
• Maximum velocity too high for channel or
  floodplain 1 or 2 or many
• Boundary elements project near boundary
• Uniform water surface elevation for ponded
  conditions must have some variability
• Difference analysis in MAXPLOT

Topography Maps from DTM Points

• Enhances mapping resolution
• Subtract DTM ground point elevations from the
  grid element water surface
• Create new shaded contour plot
• This is an improvement nothing to review

• Some sediment transport capacity equations are
  not appropriate for all simulations
