10First action you need to do when you leave
tonight
- Go online and fill out the Intent to Campaign in
the Residence Halls form by Midnight Friday
October 2. - If you dont submit your form by Friday you will
not be able to campaign in the Residence Halls.
11Youve gotten your confirmation.When and where
are you going?
- Campaigning in Residence Halls will be going on
next week. - Each night, campaigning will go on from 7-9pm
- Monday (10/5)
- Northside
- Tuesday(10/6)
- Southside

- Check-in Stations open at 630pm each night
- On the night of campaigning come to the
appropriate check-in station - Monday A-3 Lounge

The Campaigner Card will have contact information
for Andrew Warren, RHA Election Commissioner, to
handle questions or problems during campaigning.
14Rules When Campaigning in Residence Halls
- Each resident will have stop signs made
available to them to put on their doors. - Each stop sign will clearly state the residents
class year and what actions campaigners can and
cannot do.
15Its 9 oclock. Now what do I do?!
- Once it is time to stop campaigning, have the
escort sign the time out part of the card. - Candidates have until 930 PM to return the
Campaigning Cards to the check-in table

18Facebook Campaigning
- Private Groups can be made to communicate with
campaign staff and members. - Must add election commissioner
- Can become public once campaign period begins.
- No updates can be made once campaigning is over
- No messages over Facebook or e-mail can be made
once campaign period is over
19Registering Materials
- You must register everything used in campaigning.
- You must send the election commissioner a list of
all materials used. - For flyers send a copy, for other items send a
photo or description of the item - Failure to do so can result in penalties up to
disqualification.
20Fair Market Value
- Designed to make race FAIR
- If item is bought in B/CS
- Expense it at cost
- Cost The exact price you paid for it (including
tax) - If item is bought outside of B/CS
- If cost was less than FMV, then you must use the
FMV - If cost was more than FMV, you expense it at cost
- Expense at FMV or at cost, whichever is higher

- Freshman Senate seat- 150

- All questions pertaining to finance should be
directed to Matt Hunt
24Election Guide
- Located on vote.tamu.edu
- Small bio including a picture, your contact info,
and a message not exceeding 200 words.
25Sample Ballot
- Must sign off on the sample ballot by Friday,
October 2 at 5pm. - The ballot will be located on the window of the
SGA office located in the Koldus building - Make sure your name is spelled correctly as it
will appear on the ballot.
26Voting Locations
- Located online at vote.tamu.edu
- Also a location at Koldus
- On the ballots, the positions of names are
randomized each time someone logs on to vote.
