Stay safe in the surf!

First, select your surfboard, either long or
short.

• The fin is underneath the board.

Before entering the water...

• ... practise paddling on the sand.
• Remember to remove the fin to do this.

Next, to prevent slipping...

• ... rub the deck (top surface) with surfboard wax.

Then, you are ready to paddle out...

• beyond the breakers. Bearabunga!

Then you practise, practise, practise...

• to get your balance. (Keep a low centre of
  gravity by crouching down.)

Practice makes perfect!

• Keep your arms out and your eyes looking forward.
  Success!
• Now try to hang ten!

• Deck the top side of a surfboard
• Fin an angled blade that is the guiding rudder
  of a surfboard
• Hang ten all ten toes at the nose of the
  surfboard
• Nose the pointy end of a surfboard
• Wax buy this from a surf shop to rub on the
  deck of the board.
