Title: Physics Final Review

1
Physics Final Review
  • Excited?

2
What is the final
  • 20 of your grade
  • Multiple choice
  • Usually around 50 questions
  • Covers second semester
  • Rube was second semester so essentially it covers
    the whole year

3
What are the topics
  • Almost all of them!
  • No graph matching but almost all other areas.
  • More questions in areas that we spent more time
    in
  • 2-dimensional motion, Forces, Rube type, Circuits

4
Constant Velocity, Acceleration Freefall
  • Be able to graph and determine time, distance,
and velocity for an object in motion.
  • Be able to interpret d/t, v/t, and a/t graphs.

5
Vectors
  • Be able to draw component vectors and resultant
    vectors.
  • Can you say Soh-Cah-Toa

6
Projectile Motion
  • Be able to solve problems about projectile motion
    and Two-Dimensional motion
  • Be able to determine time, distance, and velocity
for an object that is going in two dimensions for
both directions and the resultant direction.

7
Force
  • Fma, know what that means and use of that
equation. Know and apply Newtons three laws!
  • Be able to determine if a net force is acting on
an object. Also - what a net force does.
  • Friction be able to find the coefficient of
friction and how friction relates to mu and the
    Normal Force.

8
Work, Energy, and Momentum
  • Be able to solve problems involving work, power
    and the Work-Energy theorem.
  • Apply the conservation of energy and the
conservation of momentum to solve problems.
  • Collisions!

9
Electricity Magnetism
  • Create a circuit. Know what the components are
    to a light bulb circuit.
  • Be able to determine current, voltage, and
resistance in a variety of circuits
  •
  • Be able to apply the relationship of magnetism
and electricity to describe, current, movement,
    and motors.

10
How to do well
  • Whats it worth to you?
  • How much time will you need?
  • Put the study times in your planner
  • Overview the course
  • Where did we spend the time?
  • Use the example problems to determine your weak
    areas
  • Spend the remaining time studying those areas
  • Practice final during that time of day on
    Saturday
  • Overview the night before
  • Prepare for the final day
  • Test strategies during the exam
