  • Pixel corrections such as fixed gain variations,
    pedestal removal
  • Integer pixel shifts for alignment between
    telescopes
  • Bad pixel maps (both due to pixel defects and
    cosmic rays) will accompany these images

AIA Level 1.5
  • Despiked using the bad pixel maps
  • Flat-fielded for both telescope and detector
    variations,
  • Adjusted for plate scale, sub-pixel registration,
    and roll errors.
  • Level 1.5q data is exported to LM for mission
    operations and event detection.
  • Level 1.5 data is exported to both LM and SAO as
    it becomes available.

  • Derived from Level 1.5
  • Resampled or windowed in space and time.
  • Baseline
  • Full disk, 1Mpixel images on a forty-second
    cadence (reducing data volume by at least 64)
  • Full resolution, 1Mpixel images of up to 9 active
    regions with the same cadence.
