What Is JTTCA?
  • JTTCA is an OSD-sponsored Central TE Investment
    Program (CTEIP) technology assessment project
    that evaluates using the Joint Tactical Combat
    Training System (JTCTS) as an HLA-compliant Open
    Air TE Range Instrumentation Resource
  • JTTCA will advance the efforts of Foundation
    Initiative 2010 through close coordination and
    cross-fertilization of ideas and products
  • JTTCA will enable JTCTS to serve as a TE
    component in a Test and Training Partnership
    Exercise

Hows JTTCA Being Done?
  • JTCTS equipment will be installed at the Atlantic
    Test Range (ATR), Naval Air Warfare Center
    Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD for
    assessment
  • Equipment will be known as the JTTCA Core
  • JTTCA Core will be integrated with ATR systems
    and ACETEF, using HLA, to form the JTTCA
    Federation
  • Assessment testing will leverage JTCTS testing
    conducted at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft
    Division, Patuxent River, MD
  • The DMSO Federation Development and Execution
    Process Model (FEDEP Version 1.3) will be used
    for guidelines to develop and execute the JTTCA
    Federation
  • Federation Execution will be accomplished by
    conducting a TE/training exercise using the
    JTTCA Federation

OSD Project Objectives/Sponsor Requirements
  • Sponsor (OSD) and TE community needs, objectives
    and requirements are documented in the Sponsor
    Needs Statement. Synopsis of needs/objectives
  • Assess JTCTS for TE suitability (report out)
  • Build an HLA Federation which includes JTCTS
    components and legacy open-air test range
    systems
  • Investigate JTCTS architecture enhancements for
    TE
  • Meet TE range community objectives
