• The males and females look alike.They live where
  wind chills can reach -76 degrees.They live in
  the Arctic.

Physical Features

• Emperor penguins have shiny, waterproof feathers
  that help keep their skin dry. They have more
  feathers than most other birds. About each year,
  penguins molt,losing their feathers and growing
  new ones. The emperor is the tallest and heaviest
  penguin. They have a big head, short thick necks,
  and webbed feet.

Cold Weather Adaptations

• Mother penguins travel 50 miles away to hunt for
  food. The father penguins keep the eggs warm.
  They stand the eggs on their feet They balance
  the eggs for almost two months For all that time
  the dad penguins do not eat anything.

• When the mom comes back, the dads get to go eat.
  They can dive up to 1,850 feet in the water and
  stay underneath for 20 minutes. I liked learning
  about the penguin like my cousin.

  the leopard seals and killer whales.
