Establishment

• The Regional Contact Organisation South Bohemia
  was established as a joint project of The
  Institute of Landscape Ecology of the Academy of
  Sciences of the Czech Republic and The South
  Bohemian Chamber of Commerce with the financial
  support of the Ministry of Education, Youth and
  Physical Education through the program EUPRO in
  the year 2000. The residence of Regional Contact
  Organisation South Bohemia is the Castle in Nove
  Hrady.

Cross-border technology platform - introduction

• The Regional Contact Organisation South Bohemia
  is closely cooperating with foreign regions
  especially through Cross-border technology
  platform South Bohemia Upper Austria Lower
  Bavaria that was established in June 2003 in the
  cooperation with the regions mentioned above.
• The platform mission is to support international
  companies and institutions cooperation in the
  field of innovation and new technologies.

• On a basis of Cross-border technology platform
  several activities are performed
• Workshops and seminars with participation of main
  subjects (companies and institutions) operating
  in innovation business
• International technology brokerage events
• Expertise excursions into the innovation

  field of research, development and innovation
• Common internet portal in three languages

Cross-border technology platform actions planned

• There is a plan of announcement of the
  Cross-border Aware in the field of research,
  development and innovation in the second half of
  2005.
• Every year only one innovation company and one
  research institution from each partner region get
  this Aware. Ceremonial announcement will be held
  in Ceské Budejovice this year.

• Regional Contact Organisation South Bohemia
  cooperates further with Czech entities. There is
  a closer cooperation with Business Innovation
