What Is A Sentence?
  • A sentence is a collection of words that make
    sense and starts with a capital letter and ends
    with a full stop.
  • A sentence also has a noun and a verb included
    in it.

  • A noun is a person place or thing.
  • Verb
  • A verb is a doing word an action.
  • Adverbial
  • An adverbial is a word describing how you do
    something.(normally ends in ly.)
  • Adjective
  • An adjective is a word that describes a noun.

Complex And Simple Sentences.
  • The difference between a simple sentence and a
    complex sentence is that a complex has a
    connective in.
  • e.g.
  • The fat cat, sat on the mat. Simple
  • The fat cat, sat on the mat and purred with

How To Make Your Sentences Better.
  • To make your sentences better you need to make
    them more interesting.
  • To do this you need to put in adverbials and
    adjectives.

Metaphor And Simile.
  • A metaphor is a saying that can never happen for
    e.g.
  • The clouds swallowed the valley.
  • An author would use metaphors to make their
    sentences more interesting.
  • A simile is something happening then being
    compared with something else. e.g.
  • As cool as a cucumber.

Paradox.
  • Paradox means opposite.
  • Authors would use paradox for effect . e.g.
  • The fierce fox cornered the timid rabbit.

Alliteration.
  • When you alliterate you put a minimum of two
    words one after the other starting with the same
    sound . e.g.
  • The snake slithered along the ground.
