  • Acts 84-13
  • Samaritans are half Jew and half Gentile
  • Jews had no association with the Samaritans

  • They believed in the Pentateuch
  • First 5 books of the Old Testament
  • Promised all nations would be blessed
  • Knew that Moses foretold of another Prophet
  • Deuteronomy 1815-17
  • Lived in anticipation of the coming Messiah

When Philip preached Christ he preached to
these people that the Messiah had come!

Conditions for Forgiveness
  • What the Samaritans did (Acts 812-13)
  • Heard the gospel (Acts 86)
  • Believed what Philip preached (Acts 812)
  • Turned from false religion
  • Rejected Simons teaching and turned to the
    gospel
  • They were baptized (Acts 812 Mark 1616)

These SAME conditions apply to ALL individuals
today!
