ARTIST STATEMENTMy objective as an artist
is to portray emotions and energy in my work. You
can say Im a figurative artist, but I am not
limited to that concept. To me, art is about
gathering data and recording expressed events in
an original way. When doing this, my preferred
medium is oil paint. Instead of focusing on
line, light and dark separation, I use shapes to
expose the human figure. I graduated from the
Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and
studied for two years under Ron Hicks at the Art
Students League of Denver.
