Protect and Serve

• One component of the MESA program, not related to
  file print sharing
• Concept block computers from outside of Masons
  network from connecting to desktop PCs plugged
  into a Protect network
• Internet access is unaffected, user should not
  notice any difference in functionality
• Users needing to permit inbound connections may
  request a Serve network assignment
• Not tied to the IPAM project

Remote Access

• Remote desktop access facilitated by GMU VPN and
  Dynamic DNS
• No need for static addressing
• Clientless VPN, no need to install software
• Remote Access would need to be configured on
  local machine
