  activity experiences
• Int students friendship problems although similar
  rates of interaction
• Int fewer sources of academic support
• Int lower level outcomes than domestic
• Both groups prior grades best predictor of GPA

Implications for International Student Achievement

• Provide buddy support systems
• Same study (different paper) indicates that
  controlling for high school grades GPA varies
• Cdn born English speaking
• Cdn born who spoke other than English in the
  family and English speaking international
• ESL international
