Something To Think About!

• Paul had entrusted Timothy with the
  responsibility of strengthening the church in
  Ephesus. False teachers had weaseled their way
  into the church and infected the once strong
  Ephesian congregation with dangerous false
  doctrine. Timothys assigned duty was to charge
  the people to reject those teachers and their
  teachings.

of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions,
and giving of thanks, be made for all men.

• Prayer is vital to the Christian. Do you believe
  that statement? Do you practice that statement?
  Examine your ideas regarding prayer. What is
  prayer to you? Is it your lifeline? Your last
  resort? Your inconvenient chore? Is it part of
  your times of worship and communication with God?
  Prayer is vital. Dont let it be second thought
  activity.

• What do you think of Pauls explanation of the
  role of women. In what way do you agree? In what
  way do you disagree?
• Where may women minister in the church? How may
  we best use womens abilities in the church?

• QUESTIONS FOR STUDY AND DISCUSSION
• 1. Define supplications, prayers, intercessions,
  and giving of thanks. What are the differences
  between them? How do you practice each?
• 2. Why should Christians pray for leaders,
  especially those who choose to live wickedly?
• 3. In verse 4, Paul stated that God wants all to
  be saved. If God desires everyone to be saved,
  why arent they?
• 4. Explain what knowledge one must have to be
  saved.
• 5. What makes a woman truly beautiful in the eyes
  of God? What does modest mean?
• 6. Discuss the difference between Adams sin and
  Eves sin. Which was worse? Which had the most
  severe consequences?
