Purpose
  • Provide a user-friendly place for teachers and
    students to learn how to navigate their way
    around the Collaboratory
  • Weave technology across the sixth grade
    curriculum
  • Create opportunities to strengthen and publish
    student writing

  • Integrate information literacy skills into

  • Introduce students to a variety of authors
  • Strengthen writing skills

  • Students began the unit by writing letters to
    their authors requesting information
