  • Anxiety Matthew 625-33

Matthew 625-33
  • 25"Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for
your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall
drink nor yet for your body, what ye shall put
on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body
than raiment? 26Behold the fowls of the air, for
they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather
into barns yet your heavenly Father feedeth
them. Are ye not much better than they?
27"Which of you by taking thought can add one
cubit unto his stature? 28And why take ye
thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the
field, how they grow. They toil not, neither do
they spin, 29and yet I say unto you that even
Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one
of these. 30Therefore, if God so clothe the
grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow
is cast into the oven, shall He not much more
clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore
take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?' or
What shall we drink?' or Wherewith shall we be
clothed?'  32(For after all these things do the
Gentiles seek.) For your heavenly Father knoweth
that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek
ye first the Kingdom of God and His
righteousness, and all these things shall be
    added unto you.

1 Corinthians 732-34
  • But I would have you be without cares. He that is
unmarried careth for the things which belong to
the Lord, how he may please the Lord 33but he
that is married careth for the things that are of
the world, how he may please his wife. 34There
is a difference also between a wife and a virgin.
The unmarried woman careth for the things of the
Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in
spirit but she that is married careth for the
things of the world, how she may please her
    husband.

2 Corinthians 1128
  • Besides those things which are external, there is
that which cometh upon me daily the care for all
    the churches!

  • 6Fret not about anything, but in everything, by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let
your requests be made known unto God. 7And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ
    Jesus.

10
1 Kings 194-18
  • But he himself went a day's journey into the
wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper
tree and he requested for himself that he might
die, and said, "It is enough! Now, O LORD, take
away my life, for I am not better than my
fathers."  5And as he lay and slept under a
juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him
and said unto him, "Arise and eat." 6And he
looked, and behold, there was a cake baked on the
coals and a cruse of water at his head. And he
ate and drank, and lay down again. 7And the angel
of the LORD came again the second time, and
touched him and said, "Arise and eat, because the
journey is too great for thee."  8And he arose,
and ate and drank, and went in the strength of
that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb
the mount of God. 9And he came thither unto a
cave and lodged there and behold, the word of
the LORD came to him, and He said unto him, "What
doest thou here, Elijah?"  10And he said, "I have
been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts for
the children of Israel have forsaken Thy
covenant, thrown down Thine altars, and slain Thy
prophets with the sword. And I, even I only, am
left and they seek my life, to take it away."

11
1 Kings 194-18 (contd)
  • 11And He said, "Go forth, and stand upon the
mount before the LORD." And behold, the LORD
passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the
mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before
the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind and
after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was
not in the earthquake. 12And after the earthquake
a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire and
after the fire a still small voice. 13And it was
so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his
face in his mantle, and went out and stood in the
entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a
voice unto him and said, "What doest thou here,
Elijah?"  14And he said, "I have been very
jealous for the LORD God of hosts, because the
children of Israel have forsaken Thy covenant,
thrown down Thine altars, and slain Thy prophets
with the sword. And I, even I only, am left and
they seek my life, to take it away."  15And the
LORD said unto him, "Go, return on thy way to the
Wilderness of Damascus. And when thou comest,
anoint Hazael to be king over Syria 16and Jehu
the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king
over Israel and Elisha the son of Shaphat of
Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in
thy stead.  17And it shall come to pass that him
that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu
slay and him that escapeth from the sword of
Jehu shall Elisha slay. 18Yet I have left Me
seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which
have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which
    hath not kissed him."
